Phone counseling is a specialty. It saves time, travel and money. We are also available for face-to-face meetings at our Conyers locations or a combination of both. We’d like to meet you. Call for a free 30 minute evaluation appointment. Call 770-760-0296 for Richard and 770-483-0172 for Nancy..

Why Telephone Counseling?

Telephone counseling may be appropriate for people who are looking for a counselor with a specific expertise that they cannot find in their area. Additionally some areas of the country are very limited in Christian counselors and by providing telephone counseling as a service, this makes Christian counseling more accessible. Because entering into a counseling relationship is often a very courageous step for people, telephone counseling can make it easier to take that step.

Some of the following may also be benefits for you:

  • Save money because the fees are less than a traditional office visit.
  • Convenient because you don’t have to travel or take time off from work.
  • Comfortable because you are in the privacy and convenience of your own home, office or car
  • Anonymity, therefore it may be easier for you to open up and trust more which may aid in accomplishing more in a shorter period of time.

You may be more comfortable/trusting with a counselor who is physically present and we do offer one on one counseling in our Conyers Location. If you live in the Atlanta area you have the option of meeting with us in person.

This type of Christian counseling is not appropriate for clients who are suicidal/homicidal, in some crises or in need of medication. Our counseling is not generally reimbursable by your insurance.

How Long Will the Counseling Last?

Most people who enter into a counseling relationship wonder “How long will I have to be in counseling.” First of all, counseling is voluntary and you have the right to terminate at any time. However, the pace and duration of counseling largely is determined by you and what you want to accomplish and how much effort you are willing to put into accomplishing your goals.

Typically, we meet with clients on a weekly basis at first and then graduate to bi-weekly and then to a monthly time of maintenance and support. Depending on the individual/couples goals and objectives, this process can take from a few months to a year or more. The average length of time is around 12 months. Again, your progress largely depends on you and the effort you are willing to put into accomplishing your goals

 Phone and Internet Confidentiality

Your counselor will do everything he/she can to provide you with 100% confidentiality. However, if cordless phones, cell phone, and internet transmissions are used, though the risk is very small, it is not possible to guarantee 100% confidentiality.

Methods of Payment

The fee per session (50-60 minute sessions) is $65 per session. Final arrangements for payment will be made at the free introductory session when the next appointment is set and when the release form (downloadable on the web site) is returned with payment for the first session.

Greater Atlanta Christian Counseling Services is serving Rockdale, Newton and Henry County, Covington, Lithonia, Decatur and all of metro Atlanta. Office visits are available at our two Conyers locations and also through phone counseling that saves time and travel expense. Greater Atlanta Christian Counseling Services is also available anywhere in the Atlanta area and throughout Georgia. We have many clients in many different states all over the United States and even a few overseas.

Some people come because they are struggling with addictive behaviors. Others are battling depression. Counseling can help with stress relief. Marriage and family problems are common and having an outside voice to help guide and clarify is very helpful. The confidentiality of counseling makes it especially effective with sexual problems or for those overcoming sexual abuse.
We can help resolve fear and anxiety and compulsive behaviors.  Our clients have found much healing in their family relationships and for their children. Many underachieve at work and home when they don’t really have to. Those who feel they have been underachieving in life get encouragement and transformation to come into their potential. We help people with spiritual problems, fear and coldness toward God, or just a basic lack of love and joy. Many of our clients report to us a much deeper sense of the Father’s love and being able to hear from God.

Those who are looking for mentoring and life coaching have found great help.
