  • Weak as a Kitten | Firehouse Ministries

Weak as a Kitten by Richard Kinney speaks on how we need a child-like relationship with God. We have to grow in it. But then we move on to a more mature relationship with God Lesson 4: Weak as a Kitten by Richard Kinney First of all we need a child-like relationship with God. We have to grow in it. But after being there for a season, there comes a time when we need to step up to the next level of relationship. The next is bridal love where what is required of us is more demanding. God will call us up to higher level of love. Bridal love requires an intimacy that isn’t needed in the Father-child relationship which is a simpler relationship. And after bridal love comes, hopefully, a spousal relationship. Loneliness and frustration are two things that indicate it might be time to move on. What used to stimulate us and cause us to feel close to God no longer seems to have the same affect. Many have learned to minister by being a pipe line of God’s grace that flows to others. But a pipeline is empty. So when ministry time is over you are still empty. The goal is not to become a pipe. You are meant to become one with what is in the pipe. Jesus set the example: I and the Father are One. You and Jesus are supposed to become intermeshed so closely that people say, “Who is here?” We need to have the Father speak our name to us and we need to look back to Him and have Him to say “I approve of you, I love you”. “Hi, how are you doing?” If Jesus showed up in room He would talk to you. He would say hello to you. He was humble and willing to hang out with people--with individuals. We desperately need the personal relationship with God. • Prophecy, Close to the Heart of God | Firehouse Ministries

Prophecy, Close to the Heart of God by Richard Kinney Lesson 3: Prophecy, Close to the Heart of God by Richard Kinney Here are some of the main ideas in this lesson. Are you aware that the real fun of prophecy is being close to the heart of God? God longs for us and enjoys being with us. As we engage in hearing His voice and feeling His presence, not only do we delight in that closeness, but He does as well! Not everyone has a gift of prophecy but each of us can hear God speaking to us. God is excited about people and is interested in what is good about them. He never looks on a person with disdain. Giving prophecy allows us to see others and ourselves through His eyes. Lesson 1: School of the Man Emotional Health and Spiritual Growth by Richard Kinney Emotional health will impact our spiritual growth. We will have an easier time having intimacy with Jesus with more emotional health. If we have low self-esteem, it hinders us from experiencing the depth of His love. The children of Israel were freed from the bondage of Egypt and their enemies destroyed. So, like us, as Christians, they were saved and “baptized.” But more change was required in their lives. Inside of them they were still “slaves” in their way of seeing themselves. They needed fresh encounters with God. And so do we. We don't want to just live out of our conversion experience. Richard Kinney helps us to move forward in now encounters with God, the manna for today we all need. • God Grieves and Leads us to Grieve | Firehouse Ministries

School of the Man God Grieves and Leads us to Grieve by Dr. Nancy Moelk Lesson 5: School of the Man God Grieves and Leads us to Grieve by Dr. Nancy Moelk Dr. Nancy Moelk explains how the grieving process is innate within us because we are made in God's image and He grieved. How does it help us to know that God grieves? It is easier to give ourselves permission to grieve and to know it is normal. Whether we had good or bad parents, it important to grieve losses associated with them. We were created for perfect love and even the best parents will fall short of it. Each stage of grief takes us one step further in embracing pain and letting go of trying to avoid accepting the loss and its effects. The last stage of grief is reconciliation and forgiveness. It is possible that a person may need to cycle through all the stages again even after having come to resolution in certain areas. And as we become safer and safer in our relationship with Christ and others, our greif will automatically come forward to be dealt with. • An Encounter with the Eagle | Firehouse Ministries

Eyes to See (An Encounter with the Eagle) by Dr. Nancy Moelk Lesson 6: Eyes to See (An Encounter with the Eagle) by Dr. Nancy Moelk We may not be tuned into the heavenly realm, but it always near us even though it is another dimension. When people in the Bible reported visions and experiences of interfacing with the heavenly dimensions, it was a “whole body experience” and not something that just happened in their heads. Dr. Nancy Moelk shares an encounter she had with one of the Four Living Creatures, the Eagle. Dr. Moelk explains what are some of God's purposes in having us experience heaven through encounters and what effect that will probably have on us. It is not for entertainment purposes, but rather for our growth and development leading to deeper intimacy with God. This lesson will hopefully raise your expectation of having connection with the population of heaven. • Overview of the Lion | Firehouse Ministries

An Overview of the School of the Lion by Richard Kinney Lesson 1: School of the Lion Overview of the Lion by Richard Kinney What are some aspects of the Lion face of God? What does it complement? The Lion, in contrast to the Ox is about taking over territory, bringing the government of God. It lets God rule and reign as He wanted to do in Israel in the Old Testament. He wants to take over the territory of our lives internally and then externally in our realms of influence like He has in using Heidi Baker in Mozambique. She and her husband have started over 15,000 churches in a Muslim country and care for over 10,000 orphans daily. Being able to speak forth and have things created, changed and destroyed by our spoken word. It is the power side of the equation like the Eagle. Some people think being a Christian is about always being a loser. We are meant to have Lion moments as well as Ox moments. Jesus exhibited both the Lion and the Ox. When He marched into hell and took back the keys of death from Satan or when He confronted the Pharisees, He was showing us His Lion side. • Nuclear Power of Death /Dying to Self | Firehouse Ministries

The Nuclear Power of Death and Dying to Self by Richard Kinney Lesson 6: The Nuclear Power of Death and Dying to Self by Richard Kinney Their misunderstanding of death and dying to self has left many Christians weak and shallow when we are all created to be deep and powerful. What will be the result of our reconnecting with this concept? It will help us to reconnect with both sides of heaven and earth and help us to become the impactful Christians that we know inside of ourselves that we were created to be. If we reject life’s positives or life’s negatives, we reject life. Many Christians are half alive, even though they serve the Lord of Life. We in the western world have suffocated ourselves by only wanting to acknowledge our “wins” in life. Many of us have learned only to celebrate our successes. Many times, it is through tough times and seasons of failure that great power and authority is released through us. Life involves both the breath in and the breath out. You only have life by engaging both. Richard Kinney explains how our "low" times can result in great victory. The Cross represents the most significant event of an apparent defeat turning out to be a victory.
