Lesson 1: The Unreasonableness of God Lesson 2:Healthy Practice of the Ox Lesson 3:Weak as a Kitten Lesson 4:When Nothing Seems Stable Lesson 5:Chaos, Trust and Elements of Change Lesson 6:The Nuclear Power of Death and Dying to Self School of the Ox Six Lessons As we focus on one of the Faces of God as represented by the Four Living Creatures, we always want to remember how God wants to train us in all four faces eventually because they balance one another. There is also the element of being led by the Holy Spirit in all things and allowing His leading to bring forward in us the type of response that a particular person or situation requires. Keep this in mind as we look more closely at the Ox nature of God. The Ox nature of God is first of all a symbol of incredible strength. Imagine a 2000 lb. ox who can pull twice his weight. But to earn the title of “ox” and no longer just a cow, he has been trained by his owner to obey directions. Oxen are known for their strength, patience, persistence, and submissive nature. The Ox-like nature of Christ is one of service and sacrifice where strength is made perfect in weakness. He was a son who learned obedience through his constant communion with the Father. The cross is the universal act representing the Ox. We will become very powerfully connected to God by opening ourselves to His teaching us to become the Ox. The goal of this course is for the Holy Spirit to guide and orchestrate the development of the ox in us. Here are some of our goals for this course: To educate students in the characteristics of the Ox-like nature of God To identify the process of the Ox in us and how to walk in it. To come to understand that the sacrifice and submission taught in the Ox leads to great strength and power being added to life. To learn how the Ox has massive and unstoppable determination and energy to move forward no matter what. To learn how the Ox gives the balance and stability that is necessary for God to really trust us and to release His power in our life. To learn how the Ox is the platform for living out of the abundance that God intends for us.

  • About | Firehouse Ministries

About Firehouse Ministries, Inc. About Firehouse Ministries, Inc. Richard Kinney and Dr. Nancy Moelk, both ordained ministers, have been working in inner healing and deliverance for over twenty years as co-workers. God brought these two very different people together. In 1999, Richard realized that he needed to learn to grieve, and Nancy realized that she needed someone to mentor her in the prophetic. God has used a powerful divine synergy to make a ministry that is much greater than the sum of its parts here. With God’s help and encouragement, Richard and Nancy have been able to address a very wide range of problems that continuously keep His children small and out of touch with the massive love that God the Father has for each one of us. They do life-coaching, emotional healing, prophetic counseling and deliverance using a variety of modalities and years of experience. Richard and Nancy are firmly committed to equipping the saints to be happy and successful in their everyday lives and to become the formidable warriors that are desperately needed for such a time as this. Dr. Nancy Moelk Dr. Nancy Moelk has been counseling, teaching and mentoring people for over 25 years. She has taught classes on personal growth and ministry to hundreds of people from several states and from many congregations. Nancy currently serves as Co-Director of Firehouse Ministries, Inc. and ministers to people from all over the country. Nancy lives near Atlanta with Gary, her husband. After two years of inner healing, he had a life-changing encounter with the Father’s love. This continues to bless and empower his life with joy and a confidence that is unusual. He has a strong prophetic gifting and a zeal for the Lord that he hopes will only grow. He and Nancy Moelk have blessed many people as counselors and mentors. • The Way of the Christian Warrior | Firehouse Ministries

Lesson 2: School of the Lion The Way of the Christian Warrior by Richard Kinney A warrior is able to turn a battle around to a time of promotion. We can get roughed up in the battles of life, but victory is assured. We have already won. The devil and company will be defeated. No matter how bitter the battle, we win. A soldier is not surprised if they get hurt or inconvenienced. But what does the enemy try to con us into believing? The enemy is always trying to con us into believing we are weak and have lost. How can moments of seeming defeat be an opportunity for promotion. Part of it is that the Lion of Christ inhabits the Lamb of our vulnerability and sacrifice in our lives. When your challenging moment comes, you can choose to face it and win, or you can choose to walk away and lose. It is a day where you have a unique opportunity to move forward. • Basic Evangelism | Firehouse Ministries

Lesson 4: School of the Lion Basic Evangelism by Richard Kinney What are some natural situations where you can share your faith with others? Restaurants, riding in car, shopping, sports, outreaches, riding in a taxi, sitting on a park bench, sometimes at church, and especially at public charitable outreaches. How can caring too much what others think of us hinder our ability to share our faith? It will cause us to miss opportunities for praying with others because of our fear of man. How can getting more in touch with God and His voice leading you help you in sharing your faith and touching others for God. God can lead us towards those He is seeking to specifically speak to or touch. We will begin to feel His love towards those around us. Why is it important to feel God’s love for you as you seek to share with others the gospel? It opens the way for us to care for people in a whole new way. It will open the door for us feeling how God feels about them and we won’t minister out of obligation but out of love. • Overview of the Eagle | Firehouse Ministries

Lesson 5: Overview of the Eagle by Dr. Nancy Moelk and Richard Kinney We may ask ourselves, "Does God heal people today? Does God want to heal people today?" If we have never seen it happen or have expected it to happen, we may say no to these questions. Dr. Nancy Moelk shares firsthand experiences from a Randy Clark, Global Awakening mission trip to Brazil of healings she witnessed there. She will discuss whether faith is always necessary for healing. She will explain how God is excited about seeing people healed and restored. Remember, He originally made this world without disease and sickness and suffering. That came in whenever God stopped having all His own way and allowed man to have free choice. What part does our need to control (or rather, let go of our need to control) have in us seeing healings happen? • Nuclear Power of Death /Dying to Self | Firehouse Ministries

Lesson 6: The Nuclear Power of Death and Dying to Self by Richard Kinney Their misunderstanding of death and dying to self has left many Christians weak and shallow when we are all created to be deep and powerful. What will be the result of our reconnecting with this concept? It will help us to reconnect with both sides of heaven and earth and help us to become the impactful Christians that we know inside of ourselves that we were created to be. If we reject life’s positives or life’s negatives, we reject life. Many Christians are half alive, even though they serve the Lord of Life. We in the western world have suffocated ourselves by only wanting to acknowledge our “wins” in life. Many of us have learned only to celebrate our successes. Many times, it is through tough times and seasons of failure that great power and authority is released through us. Life involves both the breath in and the breath out. You only have life by engaging both. Richard Kinney explains how our "low" times can result in great victory. The Cross represents the most significant event of an apparent defeat turning out to be a victory. • God Grieves and Leads us to Grieve | Firehouse Ministries

Lesson 5: School of the Man God Grieves and Leads us to Grieve by Dr. Nancy Moelk Dr. Nancy Moelk explains how the grieving process is innate within us because we are made in God's image and He grieved. How does it help us to know that God grieves? It is easier to give ourselves permission to grieve and to know it is normal. Whether we had good or bad parents, it important to grieve losses associated with them. We were created for perfect love and even the best parents will fall short of it. Each stage of grief takes us one step further in embracing pain and letting go of trying to avoid accepting the loss and its effects. The last stage of grief is reconciliation and forgiveness. It is possible that a person may need to cycle through all the stages again even after having come to resolution in certain areas. And as we become safer and safer in our relationship with Christ and others, our greif will automatically come forward to be dealt with. • When Nothing Seems Stable | Firehouse Ministries

Lesson 3: School of the Ox When Nothing Seems Stable by Dr. Nancy Moelk Our perception of God strongly emerges when we are in a time of transition or turmoil. If we are to receive His help, comfort and transformation in these times we will need to be able to feel His presence, carry accurate beliefs about His view of us and let go of idealistic standards of “the way it should be”. Do you ever imagine God to be a Butler who is slacking on the job? Or as an Abuser who wants to punish you somehow? Or maybe we see Him as not very smart? Obviously if God were any of those things or other negative projections we may put on Him, we would not want to trust Him or cozy up to Him! Dr. Nancy Moelk walks us through the path of getting connection with God that will help us when nothing seems stable. We will learn how so often, we don’t need a solution. We need a relationship with Someone.
